Hiking and Moving!

It was another busy week.  We finished our first week of collaboration as a team and made a ton of progress.  We are all very excited to have assessments and planning done for the whole year.  It will make life so much easier.  I also found out this week that we will be doing things a little differently in kindergarten next year.  We have some extra funding, so we will be adding another session of kinder to target kids who need a little extra help.  That means that I will only be teaching one session of regular kinder and then I will be teaching the session that helps the students.  I am excited for the change and the chance to work with kids in a smaller group.  I feel like it will be more effective to work with students in a three hour block.

Tim finished up most of the secondary medical school applications that he has access to.  He has also started looking for work to fit in with the part time job he will be starting in the fall.  He has watched a lot of soccer.  I am being educated on all things soccer, because of the world cup.  I had no idea that it was so big around the world.

The week nights were filled with going to the temple, volunteering for the Red Cross, visiting and home teaching, and spending time with Carolyn.  Our Saturday was really busy.  Tim went to help dig holes to put in a watering system in for an elderly couple in the ward.  We promised that we could take some friends (kids from our ward) hiking to the "Y" and we made good on our word.  It had been a long time since either of us had hiked it, but it was still just a steep as I remember it.  It was a lot of fun to go with kids, they bring an energy to hiking.  I was really glad they were a little older because some of the toddlers and 3-4 year olds were struggling.

We spent the rest of the day helping Tim's brother move to their new place.  They have an awesome apartment for a great deal.  So much better than their last place.  We were both very tired, so we watched a movie in the evening and called it a night.

Next week is promising to be a busy one again!
