Crazy kids!

Usually my kids are great! We had a day this week that was extremely unlike them.  We started off the week great, considering how much candy they probably consumed over the weekend.  I think it may have been the weather.  It had been cooler earlier in the week and on Wednesday we had a front move through that brought beautiful 60 degree weather.  I can't believe how nice the weather has been.  I haven't felt like it is almost Thanksgiving and Christmas at all.  So, Wednesday the kids and I struggled, but Thursday they were back to their normal awesome selves and their was much rejoicing my the teacher.

Tim had an early week at work.  He can be assigned to go in at any time between 7-8:30.  This week he had to be there at 7, so we woke up early all week.  It was really nice to get things done at school.  It is amazing how much can be done when you don't have interruptions.  Next week we will be back to a normal schedule, which will be nice to get an extra hour of sleep.

We made it running three times this week.  We usually run around our neighborhood or over to the new temple that is being built.  They have made a lot of progress.  They have the underground parking covered and are working on getting the geofoam in place to cover it with dirt.  They are starting to put on the windows.  Hopefully they will be able to get that done before the cold weather comes in.  We also made it to the temple.  After going to the temple we stopped by a friends house to celebrate a birthday.

By Friday we were both exhausted from waking up early and having long weeks a work.  We came home ate dinner, watched a movie and went to bed.

Saturday was really busy.  Our Relief Society had an activity.  They had breakfast and then crafts.  I chose to make a crayon wrap for the car.  I thought it was a really good idea.  I guess you can enlarge the pockets to fit in cars.  You just roll it up and put the band around it to store in your car.

Tim had an Elder Quorum activity of raking leaves.  There were only of few that showed up and so he did lots of raking.  In the evening we went our separate ways.  I had a birthday party that I was hosting at the apartment.  Old roommates/friends came over for a fondue party and to catch up on life.  It was super tasty with chocolate and cheese dips.  Tim went to some old roommates and spent time with them until we were done.

Tonight we are going to Holly's baroque ensemble.  We both enjoy going and listening to the awesome music.  Two weeks until Thanksgiving!

A word of caution on the crayon wrap. The crayons will melt in the hot car. Remember they're made out of wax. It will make a terrible mess and will stain the seats and carpet.
