It's great to be an adult!

Tim's quote of the week was concerning the perks of being an adult.  I guess as kids we would have never gotten away with some things and this is probably one of them.  We did breakfast for dinner this week and waffles was the choice.  Tim has spoken of how he used to put ice cream on his waffles as a kid.  So, we gave it a try.  As you can see from the picture below, Tim has quite a bit of ice cream on top of his waffles.

I chose to to go with a healthy/unhealthy combination.  I chose blackberries and chocolate.  I approve of this combination and will keep it on the list of meals for the future.

We are down to a partial week before Thanksgiving break.  Tim studied hard this week in preparation for exams that will come up right after Thanksgiving.  He also did great with cleaning out some of his clothes.  We had stake conference a couple of weeks ago and they talked abut getting all forms of clutter physical and spiritual, so that we can feel calm and focus on what is most important.  We have been working on the physical part and we did a big purge on Monday.

Another part of our week that I was looking forward to was the Fun Fest for UT employees and students.  I had never had a turkey leg (minus for Thanksgiving) and I was excited to hold one and eat it.  Well, I had a turkey leg and it was delicious!  They had some other good food their as well.

The theme was renaissance.  So, when Tim saw target shooting he was excited to try it.  Of course he did well and if we ever need to forage for food because the world is ending...that will be his job.

Just in wrapping things up...we finally remembered to take a picture of the "ditch."  When it flooded over the Summer this ditch was overflowing.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and may you have lots to be grateful for!

Before we were married, I worked in Logan on a dairy farm for the summer. For breakfast, I could have vanilla ice cream on cracked wheat cereal. It is pretty good!
