2 Months!

We have hit the 2 month mark!  I feel like he has gained another pound and an inch.  He has an appointment next week and we will find out for sure.  I put a couple of pictures below.  The first is just to show you how cute he is and the other is to show how much bigger he is.

I think we are settling into a routine during the week.  Hyrum did well all week with eating and sleeping.  A much needed change from last week where he spent time fussing and growing.  He still wakes up at least once during the night to eat and I am not holding my breathe for him sleeping all the way through any time soon.  I think with how much he is growing that he just needs to eat!

Tim finished up working with the internal medicine doctor.  In all it was a good experience and he was able to get some insight into that type of medicine.  He has two days off to study and this week he is starting to work with a family medicine doctor.  It isn't as close, so he is leaving before six in the morning to get there.  He will only work with that doctor for two weeks, so the end is in sight already.  He also spent time in Chinatown teaching English.  He has been teaching evening classes for a few weeks.  He has a couple of students that come faithfully and are making progress in learning English.

Friday was Tim's birthday.  After work I picked up Hyrum and we went home to make pizza and pie.  This year's birthday pizza was a pizza ring.  It was pretty tasty.  I made a three berry pie that didn't turn out as well.  I don't know how to make pies well and I have never done lattice on the top.  Unfortunately, it didn't set up nicely.  It tasted good...it just didn't look very pretty.

This weekend was Stake Conference for us.  We always seem to have an adventure when we are going to our stake building.  Traffic is usually bad when we are going and we plan double the amount of time and we get there just in time, which also includes planning on getting there 10-15 minutes early.  This time was no exception.  There was an accident on the main road, which resulted in closing down all six lanes and diverting traffic off the freeway.  Well, we saw cars getting on the on ramp to get on the feeder road to go around the accident.  Cars were driving in the ditches and bottoming out in their rush to beat the traffic and be first.  Gotta love Houston drivers!

Sunday was a busy day with the general session of conference in the morning.  I took dinner to a family I visit teach and we had dinner with another family.  Tim also went out with the missionaries in the evening.

Erin will come in this weekend and we are excited for her visit.  It is also a long weekend, so we will be able to spend the 4th together.  We just need to make it to then!
