Cuteness Abounding!

Another week down for the Zimmerman family.  The weather is getting cooler at night so running for Hyrum is getting colder.  The hat he wore last year was too small so we found him one that fits.  I think he looks very cute.  He knows exactly where it's kept, so at night when it is time to go, go he will get his hat and come to the stroller.

Tim finished up at the county hospital.  He had classes Thursday and Friday, so he has an easier end of the week.  He will start in the Med Center on Tuesday.  It's hard to believe that in a few short weeks we will be done with the hardest of the rotations.  It's also hard to believe that the next step for us is applying for residency.  Time sure has gone by fast.

Hyrum and I chilled at home for most of the week.  We played outside a lot.  He has really got into running on the track.  He usually makes at least one loop a day.  he will sprint then stop to play with some dirt.  He may fit in some chasing of butterflies or dogs.  If we are unlucky he will get bit by some ants.  That happened a couple of times this week (insert frowny face).

I cleaned the church on Saturday and helped deliver Thanksgiving meals so some families in the ward.  Tim was on dad duty, so they were able to spend some quality time together.  Hyrum is getting to the age where he will miss Tim when he is gone and he becomes clingy if Tim hasn't been able to spend a lot of time together due to his schedule.

The big event for us was attending the surprise birthday party for our bishop.  We all went to our first kegger...root beer that is.  The bishop has a good sense of humor and loved his 40th kegger.  No worries, it was all good because the stake president was there too.  We enjoyed chatting with different people and Hyrum loved the grass.  It was really funny to watch him feel the grass and then just lay down.  We don't have very nice grace at our complex and I certainly don't let him lay down because of the ants.

Hyrum continues to be his cute self.  He wore a white shirt to church with closed toed shoes.  It is a fist for him because he always wears sandals.  I think is looks very grown up.  He is talking up a storm and learning new words every day.  We continue to work on colors with him and we are also working on numbers.  He frequently says the number two and will hold up two objects.  We were surprises by that.  I am sure the rest of the numbers will come with time.

That's about all from us.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
