And there was peace in the land!

We have had issues for a while with Hyrum and Lila sharing.  Mostly Hyrum doesn't want Lila to touch his stuff.  Normal sibling behavior.  Hyrum has started getting more forceful with her, so after a huge meltdown by all three parties (mom, Hyrum and Lila) we came up with the idea of getting a baby gate.  Hence...and there was peace in the land.  Hyrum takes his toys and plays in our room and Lila can do things without fear of Hyrum snatching it.  Everybody wins!

Lila continues to experiment.  Hyrum was my destroyer and Lila is my builder.  I came around from the kitchen to check on her because it was quiet and found her stacking cans.  She is starting to use more variety in the sounds she says.  I am excited for her to communicate better. She was on a hat kick this week.  Any time a hat or helmet was on the ground she would try putting it on.  She grabbed Hyrum's while he was eating lunch and was running around with it.  I had to grab her and try to get a picture.

We have enjoyed the Fall weather.  We were running around in shorts this week as it was a bit warmer than last.  It still cools off in the evenings.  The kids like running through the piles of pine needles and leaves that are very where.

Hyrum continues to enjoy preschool.  We made it to his letter this week.  To celebrate we made Halloween cookies.  He really enjoyed using the cookie cutters.  Friday was our ward trunk or treat.  Tim was scheduled late, but surprised us just before we left.  He was able to attend with us, which was great.  Hyrum loved the hot dogs.  Tim took Lila home and I took his around to the games and to get candy.  He was very excited for all the candy.

My main goal this week was to downsize again.  My hyper-organized brain can't handle the piles and stuff spilling out of closets in our tiny apartment.  I went through boxes again and tossed or gave away several more boxes worth.

Here's to another week.  We'll see if we actually go trick or treating on Halloween.
