Spring!

Spring has sprung and so have my allergies!  You can always tell when spring is close, because everyone starts sneezing and rubbing their eyes.  Soon the yellow pollen dust clouds will be flying.

Tim has the week off...kind of.  Any time I say he has the week off, it doesn't really mean he has it off.  He spent all day Monday finishing the last part of STEP 3.  He will have boards in August and then will take the sports medicine exam at the end of fellowship.  He spent the rest of the week studying, working on his presentation he his giving on Monday, and prepping for a crazy day of clinic.  He managed to take the kids to the ninja park on Saturday.

Liam has had another language explosion.  He is using words he knows to tell us what he wants and has learned all sorts of animal sounds.  He is really getting into sitting for books and looking at pictures.  He also got to enjoy some blanket fun with Tim.  All the kids really enjoy flying.

We spent a lot of time outside this week, because we were hovering in the 60s.  Liam and Lila spent an hour or more every morning out on walks, biking, and just enjoying the sun.

We also went to the Children's Museum.  There was a group of kids that went on Tuesday morning.  There was a delay for the school district due to potential black ice, so all the local preschools canceled for the day.  It was a big group of boys, but that didn't stop Lila from having fun.

Lila really enjoyed riding her bike.  She is very good at peddling and stopping.  She enjoys leading the way and choosing our turns.  She helped make some heart cookies for Valentine's day, which was a lot of fun.  She also has developed a three year old attitude...well more of an attitude than she already had.  We spent lots of time with her this week working through screaming fits, because she didn't get her way.  She enjoyed all the park time running and playing with other kids.  This is the time of year when everyone comes out of hibernation and is ready to play!

Hyrum had a good week at school.  He is still struggling through the post Christmas slump.  I am hoping that he will pull out of it soon.  He had a late start on Tuesday.  The district here really closes or delays for the slightest weather.  There wasn't anything on the roads in the morning.  The highlight of his week was Friday.  The school decided to celebrate on Friday, so he took his cards and candy to share.  I was really surprised when he came home and said that Lila could have one his bigger pieces of candy.  Usually, he is very possessive.  Both kids continue to work on taking turns with being first.  We have some great moments and then some really not so great moments.  Friday afternoon there was a big group of kids playing outside doing experiments.  All the kids loved watching.

Tim and I both managed to get eye appointments in this week.  I also slipped out during a nap and got a haircut.  I also had a primary meeting on Saturday.  I have missed the last several stake meetings because Tim has been gone.  It was fun to gather and just talk primary.  It won't be nearly as nice next week, but hopefully we will get out and play some more!
