First Birthday Party!

Another week has passed us.  We continue to try to find our groove.  We had a couple of days this week where we were able to get moving earlier.  We are pretty early risers, but since we added a fourth child the kids are still earlier risers, but I struggling.

Owen continues to grow and is full of smiles and chattering.  Lila loves to cuddle with him.  I think Owen fills her need to cuddle and love on someone.  The other boys are the furthers from cuddling as you can get!  He went in for his two month appointment.  He is almost 12 pounds, so he is growing.  Everyone always comments on his hair.  It probably sticks up about an inch.  The nurse chuckled because we had to smoosh his hair down to get an accurate measurement.

Lila is active as ever.  She is also wanting to be more independent, which has its pros and cons.  She can be super helpful, but also not helpful.  She enjoys going out to ride and scooter.  Several times this week she has done some dramatic play outside.  Typically, some is on death's door and needs a replacement of some sort.  It's super funny to watch the kids play.

Liam got to go back to church this week.  He was super excited to go to nursery.  We have been keeping him home and he was ready to play at nursery.  He continues to learn to use his words.  Well, he uses his words, but he typically yells or uses his fists.  He's our first hitter and it's a wild ride.

Hyrum was super excited all week for his birthday party.  It's our first time doing a birthday party and Lila and Liam are already talking about their parties.  It was fun, but exhausting.  I was grateful that Tim was home and another mom just stayed.  I would say we are breaking the mold for not having and Pinterest party.  He basically chose all his favorite things.  So here are his favorite things.

Brownies with blue frosting and the candles in a seven.

Dancing.

It's hard to see, but Mario is on the wall behind the boys for pin the mustache on the Mario.

A Star Wars pinata.

And good friends!

Tim continues to stay busy with training.  He finally printed his poster for the conference that he will be attending this coming week.  He keeps checking off different things as we get closer to our move.

I continue to wear glasses most days, but I have worn contacts.  We have three weeks left of school.  I have pretty much finished purchasing our curriculum for next year.  We are all ready to have a break.  My philosophy as a teacher was we work hard so we can play hard during the summer.  Unfortunately, I rolled my ankle today, so it will be an interesting week...especially since we have two flights of stairs (insert crying emoji).

Until next week!
