We had a beautiful week of sunny weather. It didn't last long, because all weekend has been rainy. WE had a busy week with our normal activities and school. We are down the last few weeks. Lila finished up her writing curriculum this week and Liam finished up the alphabet. We will continue to tick things off as we get closer to the end of school.
I finally pulled the plug and planted all our plants. It's great to have a table back. I am crossing my fingers everything survives. The struggle was real to keep them alive and get them hardened off. Lila and I rushed to get everything planted on Friday, because we were expected to have rain all weekend. We will see how it goes this summer.
We spent the week building up to Easter. We have been doing an Easter countdown learning about different aspects of Jesus's life and ministry. It was fun to see the kids pick up on different aspects of the Savior's life and even debate on which name of Christ is the best. This week in particular we talked daily about different important events leading up to the resurrection.
We tried to make each day a little memorable. We ended the week with hot cross buns. I made them years ago, but raisin bread flavor wasn't our favorite. I recently came upon a chocolate one and it was a hit.
We also had our ward Easter party. There were a ton of people that showed up. Our gym was packed and we ran out of tables for everyone. We were quite shocked that so many showed up, but luckily there was enough food.
This year we tried something a little different. We opted to do our egg hunt on Saturday. We are always rushing around on Sunday. It was a hit and the kids didn't see to be bothered. They kept asking if the Easter bunny would come a second time. It was fun to watch Owen get eggs. We had come home from running errands. I had put the eggs out quickly while the kids were in the van. They were a little confused when he got home, but they quickly figured it out.
I still gave kids their chocolate bunnies on Sunday, which they were excited about. Somehow they ended up eating their bunnies for lunch. It wasn't the healthiest of lunches, but I did put some fruit and veggies out for them to eat. That's good right?

In all it was pleasant end of a great week. This coming week we are all heading up to Kansas. Tim has a conference that he will attend and we will do some activities. It should be a fun week!
