We are officially finished with the 2024-2025 school year! We were scheduled to finish on Friday, but everyone was finished on Tuesday. As the school board, principal and teacher, I made the decision to end it. Some days I love my job.
Owen is never one to be left behind, so he jumped in for a picture too. All the kids have done amazing this year. I don't think as kids they really get how much progress they make in a year, but as an adult and former teacher...I do.
Once we finished school, we started on our summer break list. We have essentially made it through the whole house cleaning out and organizing everything. They kids just love it when I give them extra jobs to do. I also started organizing for next year. I'm tweaking things a bit for flow. Hyrum is going to be taking on more of the responsibility of his education. I think it will take away some of the planning for me, because he is doing it. I've felt the need to get a jump on things because we only have six weeks until school starts.
The majority of the week was cleaning and organizing, nothing else of note. We did have Tim's parents come in for the weekend. It's been a nice visit and the kids are always excited when family comes in.
We had a busy day. I spoke in church and helped in Owen's class. Lila did a wonderful job reading her scripture. Tim did a great job with dinner. A great end to a busy week!
