We had another rainy week. I'm so glad that we have sunny days ahead in the forecast. We have had rain constantly for two months and I am ready for summer. We wanted to go to the local military cemetery, but it was really rainy all day, so we opted to stay home. We had someone over for dinner. He is a friend from church that the kids love, Liam especially.
Hyrum continues to love piano. We are taking a break this summer, but he learned the theme song from gravity falls. He found the song on Hoffman academy and it spoke to his brain. It's a cool sounding song. I walked in on him playing at church and found that he actually has it memorized. He's a wonder at the piano.
Lila is really starting to want to cook. She likes to hang around in the kitchen asking for things to do. These are the times that I wish we had a bigger kitchen. It's so hard to have all the kids in a tiny space and not trip over people and actually teach.
Liam has become so inquisitive. He asks questions all the time and we find him using some great words. He has been creating different things like this awesome sword or creating fun drawings. He just seems to be opening up to the world of creativity and knowledge. I told him that this next year he will start learning to read and he got really excited.

Tim had a brief bout for sickness this week. Now that I think about it, I did too. We are both feeling much better, but it was an off week. Tim continues to stay busy with work and church. I stay busy with life. My new proud moment is that I figured out how to make noodles from scratch. I have had a few kind of success attempts, but this week I had my first "I think I got it" moment. The tomatoes are growing like crazy and I am going to have to expand the garden to give them room to grow. I am hoping that with more sun they will start to flower more. I have noticed that there are a lot of flowers that are just dying. I think it has to due with all the rain we have had that the flowers aren't getting pollinated. I'm crossing my fingers that with less rain more flowers will fruit.
Until next week.
