It wasn't a terribly exciting week, but it was very busy. As we are getting closer to welcoming another child, it's time to get ready. This week the kids helped to clean the whole house top to bottom. Luckily, most of the cleaning coincided with Fall cleaning, so they didn't have to double up cleaning. We were able to get lots of extra laundry done and clean both vehicles and get the car seat in for the baby. I typically get the car seat in the van long before the actual baby is expected. You never know and just maybe this will the child to come early, but mostly it's just to get the kids used to the new configuration. I think this one is going to be the hardest, because we will have a full bench, meaning kids can tough each other easily.
Also, the kids helped to make a bunch of extra snacks for the freezer. They also did plenty of taste testing. They always want to be helping in the kitchen, but sometimes they get kicked out because there just isn't enough room for all the hands. This coming week will be mostly me. I am going to prep some meals and work on school. I am hoping to get school planned through the end of the year. It's a good feeling to have some much done, because we have about a week and a half to my due date and two and a half until I'm expecting baby. The only thing I'm dreading in haircuts. All I have to say is we need more girls, because there are too many boys that need haircuts every 5 weeks.
The kids continued with school and activities. Lila and Hyrum continue to do well with gymnastics and Kuk Sool. Hyrum has another test coming up for rank advancement. He is quickly moving into the more advanced rank. He isn't too far away from black belt.
The kids were able to have a playdate with some good friends. We haven't been able to meet for a while due to scheduling and sickness. We also enjoyed General Conference. The kids did relatively well, but towards the end of each session is always gets hard. There were some really good talks that gave me things to consider.
Until next week!
