This week was my craziest week yet. Upon reflecting over my last week I realized that life fell into three categories school, work, and church. So, in order to update you in an organized fashion and to not make your brain go on overload I will just tell you everything that happened in each category.
School is coming along. I am extremely busy with projects. There is just three weeks until we are in the school all day for a month. Professors are throwing things at us like crazy. I think I am up to five major projects that are due before we go into the schools. I attended a Wildlife workshop for teachers this week. I needed to go for a class so I spent ten hours learning about wildlife and how to implement wildlife into my teaching. I had the opportunity to meet the teachers that I will be working with through the month of November. Yes, I said teachers. I the classroom that I am in has two teachers, one teaches in the morning and the other in the afternoon. For the other half of the day one is the literacy specialist and the other is math specialist for the school. I am kind of excited about that because I can learn a lot from these women. My self defense class is coming along. I have discovered that I may have muscles, but I am not aggressive. I don't hit very hard and it makes me nervous to hit hard. I think I am going to have to practice on Brian when he comes down next weekend. A funny side note. I had a proficency test this week. I had to pass off my reading out loud skills and my board writing skills. It was very interesting to try to write with teacher writing. I think I passes, but I won't know until next week. I am not exactly sure what happens if we fail.
Work is going well. I am still in the same building. I really miss not being there all day, because I don't get to see everyone as much. It is really nice to go into a building and have everyone know your name and to know some of their names and laugh and joke with them. I work in the maintance building. It if filled with a bunch of middle aged men who love to joke and laugh. So I fit is quite nicely.
Church is busy as ever. The ward is starting to get to know each other. Callings have been made so we are training all the new sisters. Speaking of training, we did our Visiting Teaching Workshop today. It was nice to know that all of the sisters that were there know about Visiting Teaching and they have been taught well. We will just have to wait and see if it had any affect on how they do their visiting teaching. I am just glad that it is over with and that we don't have to stress over it any more. The Broadcast was wonderful. I think I needed to hear just about everything that they discussed.
I think that is all from me. Oh, exciting news I am going to run in a 5k. I wanted to do it all summer, but never got the chance to, so now I am in about 3 weeks.
