Vegas Vacation!

It was quite the week. I started lead teaching in the first grade class, which means that everything I taught I planned and got the material ready for. It was a rocky first day or two, but by the end of the week things smoothed out. Part of the reason for the rockiness is because my teacher had her baby, so she was no longer in the class. It was just me and the sub! I think that I am starting to get the hang of things, it took a really long time to get into is, but I think by the end of this next week it will all be worth it.

We had two baptisms in the ward on Tuesday, both were sisters so we have a couple of new additions to the Relief Society. Relief Society seems to be smoothing out after the holiday break.

Most of this week was spent trying to get a little ahead for the weekend, because I went to Las Vegas to a good friend's wedding. Most of us left on Friday night after school and work. We arrived in Las Vegas that night and just stayed in a hotel, which was really nice. It had a kitchen in it and everything. There were six girls sharing it and there was only one bathroom, which was very interesting, but cool. Saturday we went to The Orleans, which is a casino and had breakfast at the buffet. They had really good food! After that we went up to the Las Vegas Temple for the wedding. I really love the temple. The design is much different from any other the other temples that I have been to. After the wedding, we went to the Strip.

The Strip was interesting. There were some highs and lows. The lows were obviously the lack of morality all around and the disrespect to women. But, I really enjoyed the architecture of the buildings, they were very interesting to look at, so of them you wonder how they even built them because of the crazy designs. They also had a fountain show and a Coca Cola and M&M factory. My personal favorite was the New York, New York roller coaster ride. It was well worth the 14 dollars I paid for it!

After that we went to the wedding reception and had some more fun, because almost the entire group was there and when we all get together it is just a lot of fun. I decided that weddings of friends are a lot of fun and that I really like them even though I probably won't get to see them as much any more.

On Sunday six girls once again were ready on time for church. We went to Sacrament meeting and then left for Enoch. We arrived in Enoch for dinner, had a few laughs and then left for Provo. It is good to be back and to have tomorrow to catch up on everything that I have been needing to do for a very long time!

Sorry there are no pictures of Las Vegas. I will try to get those put up soon!
