Disneyland Adventures!

Sorry for the late post. I was traveling most of the day on Sunday and did not have a chance to update you on the happenings of my life.

For starters...I do love the summer break. My first official week off has been delightful. I spent the first half of the week getting things cleaned up in the classroom and getting things organized. By Thursday I was ready to begin the Disneyland adventure.

We left on Thursday evening to drove all the way to Las Vegas, were we spent the night. We left early the next morning to get to the beach. We made it to the beach in good time. We got turned around a couple of times and had to back track, but we made it in one piece. We spent the next several hours at the beach playing and having a grand old time.

After the beach we headed for our hotel and dinner. It had been long day so we went to bed after getting a Disneyland teaser. Our hotel we less than a mile from Disneyland and we were able to see some of the fireworks. They were amazing from the hotel, but even better from the park. But, I digress. We woke up early and headed to the park. We picked an amazing time to go, because the lines where short for Disneyland standards and we were able to make it to lots of rides before the crowds came.

Yes...he is talking on his cell (some of the gang tried to take funny pictures).

To make a long story short the rides were awesome (they all worked this time), the food was pricey, and the night show was AMAZING! The total number of hours spent in the park...10. I was ready for bed! We left early Sunday morning and drove to Vegas for church and lunch, Enoch for dinner, and then home by 11.

You can't see it well, but there is an evil witch on stage and fire on the lake...soooo cool!

I would say that it was a great weekend!

Oh...one last thought...most interesting thing in the park to was was their garbage cans. Yes their garbage cans! Instead of saying trash or garbage, it said "Waste Please." I thought that as kind of cool.
