And that my friends is why Hawaii is the best. I had a wonderful time meeting new people and enjoying the rich culture. Before I put in all my pictures I have a funny story to tell. It goes like this.
My friend and I went to the Kona temple and met a very nice temple worker. He is a native Hawaiin and had the best accent ever. He ended up inviting us to luau. Of course we said yes, because how often do you have the chance to attend a real luau. The appointed time rolled around and we showed up to find and beautifully decorated gym. We thought it was amazing. Then we were directed to the kitchen. On the way to the kitchen my friend spotted what looked liked a wedding cake. Well, it turned out to be a wedding cake. We were then escorted behind the tables to help serve the food! We were totally underdressed and not expecting to serve food. It turned out to be an amazing experience. We were able to watch traditional singing and dancing and eat amazing food like lau lau, squid lau lau, and poi with the salmon and tomatoes to go with it. And don't forget the pork smoked all night! Everything was so tasty and good!
So here are a few pictures!
