Home and gone again...

This week very little time was spent in Provo.  The kinder team went to Las Vegas to attend a conference.  The conference was great.  I gleaned a lot of great ideas from the presentations and am already trying to rework some things for next year.  Las Vegas is not Provo.  I grew to appreciate the fact that there is relatively little smoking in the Provo area and most individuals are modestly dressed.  I also like how we don't have casinos on every street corner and homeless people asking for money to by drugs (this actually happened).

Right after I got back to Provo I headed down to Enoch.  I have been trying to get organized, so that I can give the house a good cleaning, not that it is too dirty (mom's definition of dirty and the world's are two very different things...not that it is bad because I tend to lean more towards mom's view).  I was able to go shopping for the family.  That is the first time that I bought six gallons of milk.  It makes pushing a cart tricky, especially in a busy store.  It's a great workout.

I also make a second trip to Las Vegas to meet up with Erin on a little suburb.  In her moving she left some things in Enoch and I went to deliver them to her.  It was nice to see her and chat about life.  I don't often get to see her, just because we usually are too far apart to make a quick trip.  While on this trip I successfully navigate by myself around Vegas and switched interstates.  It was a big moment.  I don't usually drive long distances or do any driving other than getting on and off I-15.

I continue to work on my classes and try to finish everything for my classroom, because I have less than a month until school starts.  Yikes!
