February is here!

The kids have been all about Valentine's day.  Someone each day has mentioned a party they were going to or something they were going to get their mom's for Valentine's day.  Their teach on the other hand has been madly trying to assess them and get ready for parent teacher conferences.  I was talking a co-worker about how busy this month will be.  We just finished the DRA, now we have parent teacher conferences and monthly reports to send out, and at the end of the month report cards need to be sent out, which means more assessing and entering in scores.  We also have a party this month.  We also made the connection that then it will be March and preparing to give the kids the DRA again and then it is the end of the year.  The months slip by fast after Christmas.

I am down to three weeks for my masters.  This week will be an easy week, which is nice, because I have nine hours of meetings this week that I do not normally have.  Tim and I also hit our one month.  It is hard to believe that we have only been married for a month.  It seems like a lot longer, not that it's a bad thing.  We spend the first half of our weeks working really hard between school and work and by Thursday we are breathing a little easier, but exhausted.  Tim was able to work with a different doctor this week.  He really enjoyed this doctor and he was able to experience some of the "Obamacare" hoop jumping.  It is always interesting to hear what really goes on in the doctor's offices.

Friday, I spent time getting ready for parent teacher conferences.  That meant we were confined to the apartment.  We did take the chance to take care of more name changes.  This week we changed names at the back and did the title and registration.  Hopefully, I will be able to leave early enough on Monday so I can take care of my driver's license.  The hardest part of getting everything taken care of is, most government buildings close at five, which does not work with a teaching schedule.

Instead of going out we stayed in and made ice cream and watched a movie.  Tim made reese's peanut buttercup.  It was really good.  It's probably a good thing that it is a little expensive to make, otherwise he would be making it every week.

Saturday was a busy day.  We went and helped to clean the chapel and then went to the temple.  It was rather busy, as it usually is on Saturdays.  Afterwards we went and had free lunch.  We have two starving student cards, so we went to Taco Time for churros and then to Blackjack Pizza for pizza.  We came home and had more ice cream.  Tim spent the rest of the day on campus taking a practice test and I fought the pre-game day shoppers, cleaned, and did homework.  We also got our first Ensign!  I took some time to read it.  It has been a long time since I have been able to read the Ensign other than the Conference issue.

Sundays are always hard, because church is so late.  It just doesn't feel like a Sunday.  I am sure in heaven, all meetings happen bright and early!
