Easter Week!

It was good to be back at school.  The kids were ready to come back to school.  They were very excited for Easter and so by the end of the week I was fighting the kids to listen.  But, that is the way it will be for the rest of the year.  They are done and so are the teachers.  The countdown begins...29 days left of school on Monday or as principal says...5 more Mondays.

Speaking of Monday.  Tim signed us up to work at the Provo City Center information booth on Monday.  That is our temple, so they ask wards within the area to cover shifts at the booth.  They only people that came in was a former roommate and her husband.  Oh the things that happen in Provo.

Tuesday was a stressful day.  I had a sub all day because of our reading assessments.  By the end of the day my brain was done.  I think we are in a good position to finish by the end of the testing window.  It is always touch and go.  Tim also finished his classes this week.  I think it is a relief to be done with the bulk of his classes.  He has one exam left and then he will have one more class to take.

Speaking of one more class.  On Wednesday he received an email that one his classes he has already taken will be substituted for one of the two he has left.  It was a shocker to get the email, but it will be nice to have one less thing to do while he is trying to study for the MCAT.  He has taken a little time off of everything so he can study for the last final and give reviews.  I went visiting teaching and taught our only sister that will let us in the door for the last time.  She and her family are moving out of the ward.  It is kind of sad, but I guess we will keep trying to visit our other sisters.

Thursday was an easy day.  Tim studied for several hours and went to a review.  I was visit taught and then we called it a night.  Friday was the big day.  The kids came in the door asking if this was the day that we would have our party.  Both classes had a lot of fun and I think it was the cleanest my class has ever been after a party, which is a major plus.  Tim and I tried watching a movie that was supposed to be good, but it ended up being not so good and we turned it off and made cookies.

Saturday Tim woke up and played racquetball with some friends.  Right after he went to a service project that was canceled.  It was Tim the Elder's quorum president and a young man that Tim is working with.  I think it was a good experience.  I spent time with Carolyn and then proceeded to make cinnamon roll cake.  We had our first as a couple.  We invited some friends to do something and then have dessert.  We went to our stake's Easter program, which was really good.  Our stake has a deaf ward and so half the choir was deaf.  I really felt that spirit as they sang.  They weren't extremely talented, but they all sang from the heart and you could tell they had a testimony of what they were singing about.

And as a side note.  Tim has decided that he needs to go on a diet after this semester.  Below is a picture of chocolate chip pancakes covered in frosting from the cinnamon roll cake topped with cinnamon sugar.

I think he may be right, either that or cut back on some of the sugar!
