Summer days!

We are finding the evenings are much more busy during the Summer than we are used to.  There was something going on each night this week for one or both of us, like Tim volunteer teaching for the Red Cross in Spanish and going to a wedding reception up in the canyon.  We are also managing to run/bike/play soccer more.  To clarify I am the runner, I might kill my self if I tried biking or playing soccer with the boys.

There were two major events this week that take the cake as far as excitement.  The first is our opportunity to work in the temple laundry.  The regular workers were very friendly and helpful in teaching us what to do.  We spent half of our time folding socks that had recently been inventoried and the other half was spent working the presses.  I loved the presses!  They were so much fun to work with. I am kind of jealous of their washers and driers.  They are HUGE and would definitely get all my laundry done in an hour or less.

The second thing of note was our super date day.  We had been planning it for a while, because we really haven't had time to do extend fun things.  So, we started off our Saturday with a big breakfast, moved into cleaning the chapel, then we went to see a movie, followed by a delicious snack break to get cupcakes from a shop that won cupcake wars.  We spent several hours at the Thanksgiving point gardens wondering around and looking at everything.  We ended the day with getting another snack for a local Mexican restaurant and then ice cream cones.  We did most of our adventures for free which was also a major bonus.  Below are some pictures we took at the gardens.  The actual gardens I believe is around 40 acres of area that has different themes and lots of pretty smelling flowers.

All these flowers are found in the rose garden.  It smelled amazing!

There was a lily pad pond with lots of fish that would open their mouths when you got close because they were used to being fed.

These flowers were climbing up and were very pretty.
There was a sign that said wading and bathing was strictly prohibited.  Tim is pretending to wash in the pool.
On top of the waterfall there was walking paths that had different streams and smaller waterfalls that all led to this area where they came together.
