The week was short at school and for Tim at work. He was very excited and felt like a real adult because we received paid time off for the holidays. It began with finishing Tim's blanket. I started it in the summer and am just now finishing it. It is a blanket that is his size.
Tuesday was a whirlwind of fun at school. The kids had a party in the morning and there was a talent show in the afternoon. Let's face it...there wasn't much learning happening. Tim was also asked to take supervisor calls for the Spanish team. The most exciting event happened after we got home. Tim looked at his emails and found out that he had been invited to interview in Galveston, Texas. So, that makes two possible choices for Tim if they except him. We still have to wait until February to find out about either of the schools, but two is better than one. Wednesday was busy. I went to a local shop and picked up kolaches to take home for the holidays. I also made rolls to take home to help out and prepared everything else so we could leave after Tim got home from work. We made it to Enoch in one piece and enjoyed lots of time with family and great weather. I am not sure we could have asked for more perfect driving weather.
Thanksgiving was great. I was in charge of the turkey, but I had lots of help from mom. Brian made lots of pies and it was just a nice day filled with the most important thing...family.
Friday was Christmas decorating day. Tim helped put up the tree and the lights outside. It always surprises me how long it takes to decorate. Dad was just glad he didn't have to do it. Saturday we came home and did few things around the house. The weather was great up here, so we went for a walk in the evening and looked at the lights around the neighborhood.
The countdown begins for Christmas!
