Dodging rain storms!

Monday neither Tim or myself had work.  We went to a BBQ with some friends and then we went to look at apartments.  We have done that for the better part of a week and we think we are getting closer to figuring out what it is that we should be doing.  Monday was the beginning of the business.

School is officially out and Summer school is officially in.  We managed to make it through the school week.  It was craziness added to an already crazy week due to rain storms.  We delayed our dance festival practice and managed to fit it in without getting rained on.  The rain came down about an hour later which caused the lower grades to have field day inside.  About this time I was thinking that kinder should  have a backup plan in case the weather was not in our favor.

On Wednesday, the dance festival was blessed with sunny skies until the afternoon.  All the teachers were really glad to not have to deal with relocating the festival.  Tim and I managed to go to the temple.  With students fewer in numbers the temple is less busy.  We also managed to look at a place that we were interested in.

Thursday was the last day of school for kinder.  About 30 minutes before school started the sky was very dark, so we decided to switch and do an indoor field day.  The kids had a blast, but the parents and teachers involved were exhausted because of all the energy.  Of and on throughout field day it would rain and then stop, which did not help the behavior of the kids.  By the end of the day the teachers were exhausted and glad the kids were done for the year.

Tim spent a lot of time this week working on his new responsibilities.  Every day he tells me about what he did at work and I feel like his position has changed to just filling in where there is a need and not taking calls.  Sometimes I feel like he runs the call center and sometimes I think he wishes he did so he can make some much needed changes.

Friday we were both tired from all the excitement of looking for an apartment and school ending that we just stayed home.  Saturday we did all our routine "stuff" and looked at another place.  I don't know about Tim, but I was glad when Sunday came, because I needed a break and a spiritual lift.  Hopefully things will calm down and we will be able to get into a summer routine.
