May!

Life continues to be busy and progress.  Tim finished up the last of his application to the University of Utah.  It is due on the 15th, so we should hear within a month or two if he has been accepted.  He has also begun to look into nurse practitioner programs.  There are a lot of choices and options.  It's probably good that he is getting an early start.  Despite the business of life we manage to have mini adventures.  Like dragon fruit.  It's pretty tasty, looks weird, but tasy.

May means we are very close to the end.  Our countdown chain is getting small and smaller.  The kids are battling Spring fever and lets be honest...I am too.  Although I am teaching Summer school again this year, so I still have two more months of school.

The week was another busy one.  Monday I picked up chick eggs for our animal unit.  It was also the annual fun run at our school.  We had a ton of families show up and it was a lot of fun.  We didn't make it home until late, but that's okay, because we got our exercise in early.

Tuesday was national Teacher Appreciation day.  We stopped by and picked up a half off pizza for dinner, which was delicious.  Wednesday we went to the temple.  Thursday was the official day Tim clicked the button to turn in the application.  I also went visiting teaching.  But earlier in the day we had lots of excitement in the classroom.  The kids were able to watch chicks hatch.  There is something about watching life happen that is very exciting!  By the end of the week we had eight chirping like crazy, which is also very distracting to a five year old.

Friday was a quiet in the evening.  We watched a short documentary and called it a night.  I woke up early on Saturday because some friends and I went to the Draper Temple together and did a session.  It was fun to catch up on life and to spend time with them.  In the evening we went to a dinner hosted by the young men.  They did all the cooking and did a great job.

That's all for this week!
