Thanksgiving!

The beginning of the week began with the end of the week in mind.  Tim had two days of classes and I had three days of work.  Monday was my work lunch for Thanksgiving.  I didn't recognize half the people that attended.  The food was really good.  The weather also started to cool down.  We had some warmer days after our "cold" spell and on Monday things started cooling off again.

Tuesday was a normal day for the both of us.  We had a lesson scheduled with the missionaries in our apartment, but the investigator decided that she didn't want to meet any more.  Later that evening we had hometeachers come over.  It had been a while since we had been visited, because they split the Elder's Quorum and our old hometeachers are in the new Elder's Quorum.

Wednesday, Tim took the car while I was at work.  He played racquetball with another student in the morning and then did battle with management.  It was a very quiet day at work, most of the teachers we work with were already on break and so we couldn't do anything with them.  The office was quiet by 2 and so I spent the last couple of hours by myself.  But, I was ready and walking out the door at 4 pm.

That evening we made rolls to take to Tim's family dinner.  It ended up being a messy business, but the end result was tasty.  Some day I will have actual counter space.  We left at 8 the next morning for Tim's parents and the roads were awesome.  Driving is actually pleasant when no one else is on the road.  We spent all Thursday talking and catching up with family.  Tim had a very active day playing with the kids.  He also worked on his trampoline skills, his shooting skills, and his scootering skills.  We both were ready for bed that night.

Friday, we went up to the temple to finish up some family names.  We made it there faster than when it was raining.  We both commented on how it is actually pleasant to attend the temple when you aren't fighting crazy drivers.  We have now learned two times in which it is safe to attend, when the weather is bad and when it is a holiday.  We did sealings and it is always interesting how different temples do things slightly different, but it is all the same and true.  One of the things I thought was cool is because it is a smaller temple, temple workers took shifts working with sealers.  Schedulers would be in and out calling workers because they were needed in other areas.  Because sessions only happen on the hour, people who get there early will frequently just do some sealings for a little bit and then go right to an endowment session.

I ventured out in the evening to try to find some deals, but the only ones I found were online.  We should be getting a crib, mattress, stroller, and car seat on Tuesday.  It was a pretty good deal and I'm not sure I would be able to find anything cheaper.  Tim opted to stay home and study.

Saturday was a day of cleaning and organizing.  Because we will be at our current place for several months after the baby is born, some rearranging needed to happen.  We moved furniture and dejunked areas, so that we will have room for big boxes this coming week.  Tim did some studying, helped a family move and when we got back we made some cookies.  They didn't turn out the prettiest, which kind of ruined my plans for them, but Tim said he was grateful they didn't turn out pretty, because they still tasted good.

It has been a quiet Sunday, very routine.  We are going to take some time to set up the Christmas tree, so we will have all of December to enjoy it!  Also, be looking for a gender update on Monday!  Tim is probably more excited than I am to find out the gender.  Not knowing is killing him.  Hopefully, the baby will cooperate at our ultra sound on Monday and we will know for sure!
