Together Again...for One Week!

Let's start off the post with an adorable smile.  This was the first week we felt like we got a genuine smile out of Hyrum.  Usually once a day he has started making cooing sounds and smiling.  It never lasts for very long, but just look at that face!

Tim had the full week off.  It was nice to have him around to help with the baby and the baby liked it too.  Every day they had play time on the floor for a few minutes and worked on head skills.  Hyrum is getting more control every week.  He still has a long way to go before he can hold his head, but it is cool to see the progress.

My days are much the same.  I feed the baby, burp the baby, change the baby (sometimes I change him two times in less than 20 minutes just to mix things up), help the baby sleep, and repeat it at least seven times a day.  We did have two days where he slept for 4 fours during the night...a personal best.  It was followed by two days of being up every two hours, something we haven't experienced since he was a couple of weeks old.

Tim also tried to get some studying in.  We are both finding it is really hard to focus and get anything done.  We usually start something and then Hyrum needs something and that project gets set aside and then we start something else until we walk by the unfinished task and remember that we never finished it to begin with.  I was trying really hard to stay focused on Saturday and Tim was getting lunch and watching the baby.  Usually we keep it simple, but sometimes Tim goes crazy!  He did a great job of making fancy nachos.  It was very pretty and very tasty.

Our week as a family and spending our days together was short lived.  Tim will begin working with an internal medicine doctor on Tuesday.  He will be doing that three times a week for the month of June.  This will be my last full week of staying at home.  I will go back to work at the end of next week.  It is really hard to believe six weeks have almost come and gone.  Hopefully, the summer doesn't pass too quickly!
