The big news for us is that Hyrum has finally started to show signs of crawling! Up until this time he has been content to do the army crawl. He pulls himself efficiently on the floor, but hasn't shown interest in getting on all fours. On Friday night he was in the right position and did a couple of movements before he went back to the army crawl. That is what we have been seeing a lot of this weekend. This was similar to when he learned to crawl. We saw lots of fussing and trying until he got the hang of it and then there was no stopping him.
He is also getting really good at standing by himself. He will lean against something for several minutes before getting his feet tangled up. He still loves to walk anywhere we will take him. The top teeth haven't decided to come in yet, but I keep hoping they will make their appearance soon. One because he has been fussier when it is time to eat (I think it hurts) and two because he will look so cute!
Tim continues to study for STEP and feel like there is no way to get through all the material and learn. Which, he is right, there is no way to get through the material. You just have to figure out best way to get through as much as you can and learn what you need to in order to do well. He takes exercise breaks in the evening to try to help him focus for a few more hours after studying all day. It seems to help and he feels like he is staying healthy.
Work continues to move. I had a ton of lessons come in this week from teachers. It is good and bad. It's great they are actually turning things in, but now I have to catch up and get it all done. I have also started filming lessons for where I work. Myself and some other coaches have gone out to centers to do lessons with the kids. These will be put on the website for other educators to view as example lessons to teach. I try to keep up with Hyrum, work, home, and primary. Some days are better than others, but our best is all we can do!
We were all ready for the long weekend. Coming back from Christmas is always hard and having another little break is nice. We don't have any plans, but to spend some time together. Time is always what we need the most, as we are all rarely together.
That is all from us.
