Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the men out there!  We had an enjoyable day with Tim at home.  They canceled all meetings, so he didn't have to leave early in the morning and we didn't have to spend too much time after church.  Hyrum didn't know what was going on, but he enjoyed the food.

We started off with sausage gravy and biscuits.  Both boys enjoyed it.  We have church during lunch, so nothing special there.  Hyrum has started eating grapes, so he had some to eat during church.  We made it home in time for me to make bread sticks to go with our broccoli and chicken alfredo pasta.  We were able to spend lots of time together.  We even went on a family walk and took a dog with us.  Tim has been taking care of a classmates dog, so we all went to go feed her and take her on a walk.

Probably the best part of the day was Hyrum eating dinner.  We were able to snap this beauty!  Can you say wedding picture.  He rubbed dinner all over his face and hair.  Alfredo sauce is a great styling gel.  His eyebrows are plastered in a funny direction and the cheesy grin is precious!  Not to mention the Buddha belly.

Hyrum has started playing peek a boo.  Very cute.  The hands never quite get to his eyes.  They typically land over his ears or one over the eyes and one on the cheek.  He continues to explore and loves to be outside.  He will go and get his shoes to let us know he wants to go outside.  If he really wants to go, he will bring ours to us.  He is beginning to understand a lot.  Unfortunately, that leads to communication problems.  He knows what he wants to say or is trying to say something, but can't because he doesn't have the right words.

We also were able to get a picture of him by the toy box.  Grandpa Kluber made it for him.  True to Hyrum he doesn't sit or stand still long enough to get a picture, but we managed.

Tim takes his big test this week.  He has been scoring well on all the practice exams, so keep your fingers crossed.  In another month we should have the scores back.  That's about all from Texas!
