Smoothie!

Our week started off much the same.  Hyrum and I are in a pretty good routine.  I wake up before he does and get ready.  Once he is up we get ready we spend the rest of the day playing.  Hyrum had another tooth come in which made for a dramatic day or two.  There is one more that needs to come in and then hopefully he will stop drooling.  He learns new words every day and recently he has picked up a lot of animal sounds.  We started working on colors this week.  I went through some of my teaching materials and brought our some things to help teach he.

Tim has officially switched to the Medical Center.  He is much closer than he was, but the hours are worse.  He has to take call again.  He is working on finding the balance of studying and being in the hospitals.  He can't study while he is at the hospitals and by the time he gets home it's time for bed.  Hopefully, once he isn't on such a busy schedule things will get better.

We discovered while we were staying with Tim's parents that Hyrum likes smoothies.  So, I made him one this week.  Here is a before and after.  The kid had a full glass and when he said he was done there was maybe and inch left.  He finished the rest a little later.  I am always amazed at what that kid can pack in!

While the beginning of our week was routine the end was anything but routine.  Thursday we had pest control come over because the roaches have been terrible since the hurricane.  YUCK!  That means we had to clear out our kitchen so they could spray.  I also had two different families over one so their mom could visit someone at the hospital and the other so they could get away from the construction people in their apartment who were fixing damage from the hurricane.  To top it off, it was pouring rain!

Thursday we were also doing shopping and ran into some traffic because a van had caught on fire.  I had never seen anything like it.

Friday was another busy day because there was another sister in our ward in the hospital with a crazy bacterial infection.  Her husband had left the day before for a residency interview, so a few of us were shuffling kids so we could take her son to the hospital to nurse because he couldn't stay with her.

By Saturday everyone was exhausted!  He had a little break and today I will be watching one of the boys again so dad can study for the STEP while mom is still in the hospital.  I feel like the end of the week was out of the movies.  Way too much drama!

We will have a different week this week because someone is going to stay with us.  His family has been displaced and he has been bouncing around until their house is finished so he and his family can move back in.

The weekend will be a treat with General Conference.  I have a feeling we are all going to need the break!
