Lubbock Adventure!

We started off the week by celebrating Lila's turning three months.  Time has gone by so quickly and she has changed so much in three short months.  We are officially able to get laughs out of her which is really cute.  She is starting to get into the stage that I enjoy.  She continues to grow like crazy.  The outfit she is wearing is size six months.  Her hair is also getting very long.  It isn't thick enough to do anything with it, but soon I am going to have to get my A game on!

Tuesday morning we left for Lubbock.  Tim has an interview for both prelim and derm.  The downside is the interviews were a week apart.  Luckily, Tim's bother lives there and they have graciously hosted us for a week.  Interview one went really well and again he was impressed with the program.  I feel like we have been blessed with some very good options to rank.  Any program we get will be a win for us.

We have gone on some adventures while here.  One of those adventures was to a gym for kids.  Hyrum had a blast running through bounce houses, ball pits, and climbing.  We were there for a good three hours.  All the adults were exhausted but Hyrum and his cousin were still going strong.

Funny story.  There was a plane for the kids to climb in.  Hyrum wouldn't sit in the pilot's seat, only sit as a passenger.  When he first got in he stuck his head out the window and said, "I'm going on an interview."  Can you tell it's interview season?!

Hyrum has had plenty of play time with his cousin.  They played inside, outside, and at a park.  Part of the play time has been a learning how to share and not yell.  Hyrum has entered the phase of not knowing out to express his anger and frustration.  To show anger he will yell or take off his pants.  Yeah, not sure about that last one, because both Tim and I wear our pants at all times.  We are working on social coaching to help him understand sharing and how to solve his problems without yelling or disrobing.

Tim and I have been hanging out with kids and enjoying being away from Houston.  Lubbock is a large city, but it is more our size and pace.  It also has a small temple, which we were able to go.  I miss being able to attend as often as we did when first married.  Someday!!

We will have spend a few more days here to finish up Tim's interview and then head to Oklahoma.  We will have several weeks with family before heading back to Houston.  While in Oklahoma Tim will go to Nashville for an interview.  An interview update.  Tim also received invites from Missouri, Galveston, and Utah.  He has ten total interviews, which puts us in a good position for matching.  We have three months until we find out if we have matched!
