Oklahoma here we come!

We started off the week in Lubbock.  Tim had one more interview and the pattern continues to hold for Tim liking every program.  There are always things he likes more or less than another program, but he always leaves thinking he could be really happy furthering his education there.

We had one last adventure with family, by attending the local children's science museum.  Hyrum loved playing with all the instruments and exploring all the other areas.  It was a cool place to visit.  I would like to point out that Hyrum is not wearing shorts, but pants.  He is going through a phase of not wanting to wear pants.  It's not a battle I want to fight so long as he puts on pants he can pull them up all he wants.  He must be a Houston baby!

We left Lubbock early Wednesday morning.  The trip wasn't as nice as our first leg.  Lila decided to spew everywhere in her carrier and Hyrum was just plain tired.  Despite that, they both still did really well and we were glad to make it to Oklahoma.

Tim has been staying busy with some of dad's famous "five minute jobs."  I have helped mom do some unpacking in the storage room.  We still have a ways to go, but I am guessing we will have things in their proper place by the time we head back to Houston.  Speaking of which, we decided to extend our stay...hopefully mom and dad are okay with that.  Tim is going to use Oklahoma as a starting point for two of his interviews.  We will be here for about a week and a half longer.

Hyrum has enjoyed all the extra space and grandma's toys.  He has started building roads with the bulldozer and you can see his tracks all over the house.  He also got to ride the mower.  He has talked nonstop about riding the mower, but when it came time for it I didn't think we would be able to get him on.  We finally managed to get him on and he had a blast!  Towards the end of his ride he was turning the wheel all by himself.  Big smiles all around.  We won't talk about the tantrum he had when it was time to come in.

Saturday was an easy day.  We just played most of the day.  All the big boys were at a football game.  More family started coming in, so Hyrum had even more friends to play with.  Not sure if they want to play cars or fix, but that's his current favorite things to play.

Sunday was pleasant with a beautiful Christmas program, more fixing, and naps.  I was able to snap a few pictures of Hyrum fixing the Tonka truck and Lila napping with grandma.

I am curious to see how the next couple of days go with Christmas Eve and day.  Hyrum still doesn't really know what to expect, so it will be fun to see him discover the magic of Christmas.  Until next week!
