And just like that!

It was another busy week for us.  Life doesn't seem to slow down even when we disappear from Houston.  Tim received another interview invitation from Austin.  That brings us up to 11 interviews!  We are getting to the end of the interview season, so I am not sure we will get any more invites.  Then again, that is what I have said for the last couple of weeks and here we are with another one.

It cooled for a few days...enough for a snow day!  Last time we had snow in Houston Hyrum wasn't too crazy about it.  This time he had a blast.  He and Tim went out and played for a couple of hours.  Snowmen dotted the yard and there were cold fingers and toes.

Lila got her first taste of winter.  She seemed to take it in stride.  I bundled her up and we went and joined for a little bit.  It will be interesting to see where we end up and if snow will be in our future for the next four years.

Tim is still on vacation, besides his interviews he is Hyrum's play buddy.  It has been nice to have him around to divide and conquer during the day.  He has enjoyed fixing grandma and grandpa's stairs and desk multiple times.  I never could figure out was wrong, but we sure had fun working.  He also went to the park and played with Tim.  Funny story...for Christmas we gave Hyrum gummy bears.  He has enjoyed eating them and has named them "goobies." Gummy bears will forever be named goobies in our house!

And just like that Lila can now roll.  She figured it out in just a few days.  She discovered she could roll from her front to her back by accident and some how that translated to rolling from back to front.  It took her about three days to get her head up, but now she is a rolling master!  Hyrum rolled this early, but he only did it once and then he didn't roll again for several weeks.  Lila likes to see the action and being on her stomach gets her more action.  She continues to grow.  She had yet another growth spurt.  I purposely brought clothes that were a size too big, but by the time we go home they will probably be a size too small.  She also has new sounds, one of which is the pterodactyl screech.  Hyrum had one too, so I guess we are making it a tradition.  We are still working on the sleep thing.  She still wakes up 2-3 times to eat at night...just like Hyrum.  I am hoping it doesn't last for a year like Hyrum.  It's one tradition I can do without.

Tim and I have stayed busy helping mom and dad inside and out.  Cleaning, unpacking, building, digging...you name it we have done it.  Saturday was beautiful outside dad kept Tim busy all day.  We also decided to stay a little longer.  We will be in Oklahoma until the end of January.  After looking at interview flights and distances, we decided that Shawnee is a much better place to be traveling from than Houston.  Not sure if mom and dad are happy about it, but we are sure grateful.

Tim will be gone for most of next week interviewing, so we will be chilling with family while he is off adventuring.  Until next week!
