Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  We enjoyed spending time with Tim's family celebrating the Savior...and eating candy.  But, that was at the end of the week.  Let's begin at the start of the week.

We went outside every day this week.  Hyrum is always looking for friends to play with.  On one of the days there happened to be a lot of families from our ward out enjoying the weather.  We was very content running around with all the kids.  We have also started playing outside in the late afternoon  by our apartment.  It is shaded well, so I can watch Hyrum play and stay close to listen for Lila as she is taking her last nap.

Hyrum continues to show interest in letters and counting.  This week he surprised me and made his name.  In preschool we talked a lot about the lines that make up each letter.  We made the letter lines with play dough and he put his name together.  We tried to take some extra time this week talking about Easter and the resurrection.  It was fun to listen to him talk about Easter and the Savior.  Hyrum is getting to the age I enjoy the most.  Things begin to click in all aspects.  We are just trying to take advantage of the momentum!

Lila continued to work on her crawling.  She is very mobile and is starting to get into things.  If she sees something she will go after it and keeping trying until she gets it.  She has been practicing getting on her knees, because there are even more things she can reach.  I was doing laundry and set the laundry detergent on the TV stand, so she couldn't get into it.  Well, she decided that she wanted the Oxyclean and proceeded to get on her knees and reach until she pulled the container off.  I was so shocked because I had barely set it out and the next thing I knew it was on the floor.  I quickly cleaned up what I could and got the vacuum out.  She has also decided that partying at three in the morning is fun again.  She doesn't need to eat, so she is just up fussing for 1+ hours.  It makes for a very grouchy mamma.

Tim continued with is critical care rotation.  He has enjoyed all that he has learned.  He feels the doctors he worked with were very sharp and knew there "stuff."  They didn't wait to consult with other specialties.  He said they used their knowledge and just made decisions, which you have to when your patients are critical and possibly at death's door.  He still works doing sports physicals

I stayed busy with the kids, wrapping up my relief society responsibilities, and trying to stay awake.  I also continue to pick up a neighbor boy from preschool every day, which has been nice to break up our day.

Saturday we went down to visit Tim's parents for Easter.  It was a quick trip.  While there we visited one of Tim's childhood friends, who happens to live down the street.  Hyrum also did lots of outside work.  He planted corn, picked carrots, mowed with the toy mower, and had a little fun jumping on the trampoline.  He also got to open some presents.  One was a baseball and tee.  He enjoyed hitting the ball and had a few good wacks.

We also did our small Easter egg hunt on Saturday combined with family home evening.  We put little pictures in some of the eggs to help us talk about Easter with Hyrum.  So, we munch and we talked about Jesus.  Lila slept through it all, which is a good thing since she is up a lot in the night.

We came back on Sunday afternoon.  It took us a little longer because of traffic.  Less than 30 days and we won't be dealing with Houston traffic.  Whoot!

Our week should be pretty normal.  Hopefully, we all get a little more sleep.
