Oh boy! It was a long week. I am not sure if it was because we were cooped up or it was just one of those weeks. I think it was a combination of both. Hopefully, everyone else's week was amazing, but if not...here's some crazy cuteness to cheer you up!
Lila discovered dirt. Last summer she was just learning to walk. Now she is all over the place and getting very dirty. The thing we track in the most is pollen. I have never seen so much pollen. I was jogging with the kids and there was a yellow haze in the air. It's everywhere! Unfortunately, Lila developed a fever this week. It last for about two days. She had a low grade fever most of the time between 99-100, but a couple of times it spiked to over 103. She would crash during her fever for about 30 minutes and then it would come back down. Her appetite is finally coming back. She continues to love songs and singing and driving me nuts getting into everything. At least she helps clean it up.
Hyrum is probably taking the no contact the hardest. Most places are closed, including local parks. Poor kid gets this longing look on his face every time he hears a kid in the complex. Luckily, the weather was really nice this week, so every day we went out to play in the church parking lot or at our apartment playground. He continues to enjoy preschool and learning. We talked about the allegory of the olive tree this week for Come Follow Me and he decided to do his own drawing. I thought it was pretty good. He decided his olive tree would have black olives.

Tim had Saturday off. It was nice to have another adult around, especially to run around with Hyrum. Tim is in the ICU, so he didn't get to see the kids until Saturday. Surprisingly, his hospital only has one patient. Covid is definitely in North Carolina, but so far their hospital has been lucky. ICU is still exhausting and sometimes sad because the patients are so sick and there is really nothing that can be done for them except make them comfortable. But, lets end on a happy note. Lila is our hugger...whether Hyrum want one or not!
