Snow!

We had our token snow this week!  It typically snows once or twice here and we finally had our snow.  We'll get more into that later.

Tim finished nights on Tuesday morning.  It is always hard to make the switch, so he struggled the rest of the week to stay awake during the day and sleep past 4 am.  Between trying to flip his sleep schedule he had a clinic day and he worked with his sports medicine mentor.  He also spent time with the kids playing and having a snow adventure.

Hyrum continues to be entertained by his legos.  I am always amazed at what he comes up with either by following instructions or from his imagination.  He continues to love his preschool and is doing so well with it.  If he wasn't playing with legos, he was building forts or just burying himself in a pile of blankets and pillows.

Wednesday morning bright and early it started snowing.  By the time the kids woke up we had a good dusting.  Tim took Hyrum out right after he woke up.  The sun was still coming up and Hyrum was still in his pajamas, but totally worth it. He enjoyed making a snowman and eating snow.

Lila managed to get out to enjoy the snow before it melted.  She too enjoyed eating her fill of snow.  This was her pinecone ice cream cone.  Tim told me that Hyrum would pick up sticks and eat the snow off the stick like he was eating corn on the cob.  Both kids ate their fill of snow, dirt, and bark!

Lila has gotten into legos as well.  Hyrum goes between letting her play with them and me having to break up fights because he can't stand the thought of her touching them.  She made some progress this week with the /s/ sound.  While she is a chatter box, she has a lot of articulation errors and /s/ is one that she struggles with.

Liam had his two month appointment this week.  Unfortunately, he is now on reflux medicine as well.  His weight percentile dropped drastically, so the pediatrician wanted to start him on something to see if it would help him not spit up so much.  He continues to talk up a storm and is getting better at rolling from his stomach to his back.  We had a success this week with a nap.  He slept longer than 45 minutes.  It was only an hour, but I will take it!

I continues to try to keep up with the kids.  I also made the decision to cut wheat from my diet.  Long story short, Liam had been really struggling for the week previous and the only thing that had changed from my diet was bread.  I finally got around to making some for me and the kids and I enjoyed it!  I hadn't eaten bread or had had much in the way of wheat, until then.  Hopefully, this will all be short lived and we will figure it out or he will grow out of it so I can go back to less complicated meal planning.

Until next week!
