An oral kind of week!

Success!  We have everything moved (minus a few things we forgot, but will have to get later).  We were lucky to have lots of help on both ends, so we were done by one.  We had a few mishaps along the way, like forgetting to take the moving blankets with us when we returned the truck, but in all it was a great day.  We have already met three other families in our ward all with young children.  There is a girl Hyrum's age that will be going to kindergarten with him in the Fall and a neighbor boy that is super happy to have a playmate.  The majority of our things are put away, it's just the last few things.

Tim was working most of the week in Raleigh.  It made for some long days.  He tried to attend a football game, but it got rained out.  He also spent some nights with Liam and come to think of it Hyrum.  More on that later.

This week I spent time each day packing.  The final things are always hardest.  My least favorite thing is to pack clothes.  This go around I discovered a nifty hack that Tim and I agree is the best!  I zip tied groups of hangers together and covered them with black trash bags.  Super easy!  It became increasingly more difficult for Hyrum and Lila to find things to play with, because I had to pack so much.  They managed to find some things to do.  Hyrum created this beauty.  It's a picture of our house some day.  There are tons of little cars drawn on the left.

Lila built temples and towers this week.  She has been getting into singing.  She doesn't really understand the words to the songs, but it's fun to watch her sing.  We also had a couple of incidences with the scissors involving Lila's hair, which resulted in both children loosing scissors.  Luckily the damage was in a spot that couldn't be seen.

Liam decided to boycott naps again and nights were pretty hard.  Part way through the week I noticed a tooth coming in.  He hasn't made it to five months.  I have been watching for the other tooth and I think I can see it coming in as well.  He did really well moving.  He spent time in the carrier making me sweat and sleeping in the swing.  It wasn't the highest quality of sleep, but he got something.  He also learned out to roll from his stomach to his back.  He also fits into my favorite outfit.  I thought Hyrym looked so cute in his caterpillar shirt and Liam looks just as cute

Saturday we woke up bright and early to move.  After dropping Tim off to get the truck, I took the kids to a friends for the day.  They had tons of fun playing with her kids and meeting some of the other kids in the ward.  Lila discovered mud and had a blast making mud pies.  We have a ten year old that lives next door to us that isn't afraid to come looking for fun.  He seems to be okay with Hyrum being half his age, and I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot of him in the future.

Some friends invited us over for dinner, which was much appreciated.  During dinner, Hyrum dropped his spoon.  All of a sudden we heard his say that his tooth fell out.  Tim and I were so shocked.  We had no idea he had a loose tooth and there is definitely a big tooth coming in behind it.  Tim and I couldn't believe we were old enough to have a child loosing teeth.  He set his tooth out under a pillow in the front room, so the tooth fairy could come by and pick it up.  He was up very early checking and showing mom and dad his find.

We continue to unpack and will be doing it over the next week.

Until then!
