It Begins!

The weather was amazing this week.  We had a day of rain, but otherwise it feels like fall!  The leaves haven't really turned yet, but I am excited to see the colors.

Hyrum and Lila continue to do well with school.  They seem to be enjoying what they are learning.  They are enjoying more time outside playing with the cooler weather.  Lila has been into chalk this week and we have murals on the side of the house to show it.  Liam has joined in and between the two of them they track in half the chalk they use.  Hyrum has been using his imagination on the trampoline.  Typically, I hear him inviting siblings to take part in some competition or training he has created for the purpose of vanquishing enemies.

Liam continues to struggle with staying in bed.  We have our good days and bad.  He seems to have good and bad days with emotions, hitting, potty training, name calling and everything in between.  He did go to nursery by himself today.  Since we moved to Arkansas, he has not wanted to go to nursery.  He didn't have trouble until we moved.  He's our first to struggle with going, so it's been interesting.

Owen is getting into everything.  We are in the trash can stage...it's the worst.  He has started rolling either on the floor or in his seat to the nearest trash.  We've started having to put things up high.  He's also getting super quick at pulling himself.  The kids can't leave anything on the floor, because he will get it.  He still wakes up way more than he should at night, but we are finding that we can put the pacifier back in and roll him to his stomach and he will go back to sleep.  We've been working on him falling asleep by himself and I think we are almost there.  He is finding his laugh and it's super cute to listen to him laugh.

The kids had a busy social week.  We had a playdate with some friends, did story time, a birthday party, and we went to a fall festival at the local art museum.  Hyrum has decided that everyone should have free food tents.  The museum had hotdogs and cotton candy for free and all the kids were in heaven.

Tim continues to learn and work towards getting things set up.  They hired someone for one of the MA position and he is working very hard to recruit a nice lady that speaks Spanish to work with him as the second MA.  He also planned his first activity days activity.  I thought it was really good, but I guess the boys are a little on the wild side.  It's a work in progress.  This week I ended up making several batches of freezer jam.  I've started setting goals for myself and one was to make freezer jam.  A couple of weeks ago we went to a farm store that sells produce at cheaper prices.  I checked one day and saw that they had blackberries and raspberries at a good deal.  The kids got to help me hunt for the best ones and we spent the next couple of days making jam.  It was fun, easy, and tasty, so I think I will make it a thing.

Until next week!
