It's been a minute!

It's been a crazy two weeks!  Two weeks ago we were enjoying some beautiful weather.  I took Owen out so he could crawl and do a bit of bouncing on the trampoline.  He loved it.  We had another round of sickness go through the house that the last kids were getting over just in time to leave.  Unfortunately, the day before we were to leave, I got food poisoning and spent a miserable day emptying my stomach.  It delayed us a day leaving, because I didn't get anything done.

We drove to Illinois on Sunday.  The kids did amazing in the van.  We've done road trips before with just me, but this was the first time doing it with a child under one.  Hyrum and Lila did great with helping the younger two.  Lila was a champ with Owen, because he can be difficult.

Monday was a holiday for us, which was convenient, so we could get settled and get all the wiggles and energy out.  The kids were able to complete their school work in the morning and spent the rest of the day busy.

Hyrum really enjoyed creating planes and rockets with the foam connector set.  Owen just liked to eat them.

Owen also learned how to crawl up the stairs.  I'm not sure he even gave it a thought as he saw others going up and decided that, that's what he should be doing too.  We had to block off the stairs with chairs for the rest of the week.  He also learned some new sounds, enjoyed putting handprints on all the windows, and trying some new foods.

The kids spent a lot of time outside.  It was so nice for them to be able to be out playing.  They spent hours digging in the garden, riding bikes, and Liam decided that he need to drive the dump truck everywhere.

They also had a Krispy Kreme adventure.  We stopped by a store while waiting for PT to end.  The kids got to watch the donuts being made and one of the workers gave them hats.  Liam declared that when he gets big he's going to make donuts.

There was also lots of wrestling.

Lila loved playing beauty parlor with grandma.  Grandma has way more colors to choose from them mom, so of course it was more fun.
We left on Saturday and made good time again.  The kids did well for the most part.  They were so happy to see Tim.  Tim was really happy to see the kids too.  He was getting pretty lonely by the end of the week and he would rather play with the kids than do taxes.

Any who, that was our last couple of weeks.  On to March!
